Training at Floating Hospital for Children

Growing. Learning. Discovering.

Sara Ross, MD is the director of the Pediatric Residency Program at Floating Hospital for Children in downtown Boston, MA.Floating Hospital is the principal pediatric teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine. Our focus and mission every day is to improve the lives of children and their families. What truly makes us different is that we treat every child as if they were our own.

Floating Hospital for Children has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in pediatric training based on more than one hundred years of experience in patient care, education and research. Our goal is to train pediatricians to be well prepared for the challenges of pediatric practice or subspecialty training.

What sets our training programs apart is the energy, enthusiasm and expertise of our faculty, who work hard to make sure that our trainees get all that they can out of the training environment. Our Medical Center faculty are among the top in their fields and are annually listed among Boston’s Top Doctors. Attending physicians understand the rigors of medical training and provide a truly unique and comfortable academic environment. Working with our teaching affiliates, we are able to give our trainees a wide array of experiences so that they can be equipped with the skills that they need to work in the field.

Our faculty and residents know each other well and support each other in their endeavors. Residents and faculty of our program work closely together in a collaborative environment leading to a tailored, mentored pediatric education.

We hope Floating Hospital for Children will be your choice to continue your own growth, learning and discovery. If you have questions about the Pediatric Residency Program, please contact us via email at
