Biography

Karen Bresnahan, MD is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician. She received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey—Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in 1986 and then completed a residency in Pediatrics at UMDNJ and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey from 1986-1989.

Dr. Bresnahan went on to complete a fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine, Boston City Hospital from 1989-1992 and a residency in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine, Boston City Hospital from 1994-1996.

She has been at the Center for Children with Special Needs since January 1997. She is Board-Certified in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Bresnahan’s clinical interests include the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with a variety of developmental, learning, social and emotional difficulties.
