Jennifer received her M.S. in Exercise Physiology and Ph.D. in Applied Physiology from the University of Delaware. Her graduate research was focused on mechanisms of microvascular dysfunction in chronic kidney disease patients as well as the effects of dietary sodium on vascular function. She joined the MCRI in June 2013 and is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Iris Z. Jaffe, where her research is focused on the role of the smooth muscle cell mineralocorticoid receptor (SMC-MR) in vascular aging. Specifically, she is investigating the role of SMC-MR in the regulation of aging-associated hypertension and sex differences in the molecular mechanisms of vascular aging.
