Chris Bellonci, MD, is a child/adolescent psychiatrist at Tufts Medical Center and a leading national expert on the use of medication for children with mental health issues, particularly those in foster care. He is Senior Psychiatric Consultant at Walker in Needham, Mass., a multi-service agency working with children experiencing severe emotional and behavioral disorders.
He is the current President of the American Association of Children’s residential treatment centers. As a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Bellonci has served on the group’s LGBT panels, and is currently a member of the Quality Issues committee, which writes practice parameters defining the standard of care in child psychiatry. Dr. Bellonci is board certified in Adult Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is an associate professor at Tufts University School of Medicine.
