Evaluating and diagnosing children and adolescents with school problems
Cathy Mason received her master’s degree from Tufts University Department of Child Study, and has done postgraduate course work in reading and neuropsychology. She has worked with students of all ages who have a variety of special needs, as a teacher, tutor, administrator, consultant, and clinician.
As an Educational Specialist at CCSN, she is involved in evaluating and diagnosing children and adolescents with school problems, as well as consulting to their parents and schools regarding effective treatment. She is particularly interested in the linguistic underpinnings of reading, and in the early identification and treatment of language-based learning disabilities and dyslexia.
