Biography

Bernadette Murphy Bentley, MPA has been parenting a child with autism for 16 years and has been working as Autism Resource Specialist with families at the Children with Special Needs since 2006. She has a BA in Communication from Stonehill College, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Suffolk University. In collaboration with colleagues, Ms. Bentley has developed a variety of resource tools for families including the Parent Information Packet for Newly Diagnosed Children, a Transition Guide for Teens with Autism, and the CCSN Essential Autism Resource Guide for Families. Ms. Bentley also writes extensively in a variety of publications about the needs of families raising children with autism and the resources that can help them. In addition, she produces a monthly autism resource newsletter distributed electronically to more than a thousand families and professionals in the autism community.
