Urology

Research

The Division of Pediatric Urology at Floating Hospital for Children in downtown Boston is actively engaged in studying the interface between technology and clinical practice.  Recent work by our faculty includes development of the first mobile application designed specifically for children with urinary incontinence, as well as a prototype for animated pelvic floor biofeedback, a mainstay of incontinence treatment, using a personal computing tablet - the first of its kind.

The Division is also conducting ongoing research into the effects of non-intervention for a range of pediatric urologic diagnoses, including vesicoureteral reflux and hydronephrosis.
