Entrust Your Child’s Care to Expert Pediatric Physiatrists
The Department of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (also known as Physiatry) at Floating Hospital for Children treats children and adolescents with neurological, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders and injuries, from mild to severe, to improve their function so they can enjoy fulfilling lives.
We use advanced, mostly non-surgical therapies to provide exceptional, individualized care to children who have physical limitations — and other difficulties such as speech disorders — caused by their disabilities or injuries. All of our care is delivered with warmth and a high level of personal attention.
Our expert, compassionate staff is led by Harry C. Webster, MD, FAAP, Chief of Pediatric Physiatry, who founded New England’s first Botox clinic for spasticity management in June of 1994. For more than three decades, he has managed care for children with a wide range of disorders, including cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy, and problems such as gait dysfunctions and communications deficits.
Dr. Webster’s dedication to children and families is unquestioned and inspiring: Every week he travels to clinics throughout Eastern Massachusetts and in MetroWest, Southern New Hampshire and Rhode Island to treat his patients.
