Infectious Disease

The expert specialists in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease at Floating Hospital for Children complete diagnostic and therapeutic care for children with illnesses that range from fairly common sickness like pneumonia to life-threatening, serious conditions like necrotizing faciitis.

Our division is led by H. Cody Meissner, MD who is an internationally recognized specialist in the field of infectious disease. Specifically, he has been listed countless times as being in the top 1% of doctors in this specialty by Boston Magazine. He is also a Consultant to the Committee on Infectious Disease for the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Advisory Committee on Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Meissner makes recommendations for the vaccines that children take throughout the country.
