Child life specialists, who help our patients deal with the emotional trauma of serious disease and invasive treatment. These specialists focus on child development and help our patients continue to feel like kids while they are receiving treatment. Our Child Life Program
is designated to help patients and their families cope with the stress of illness and hospitalization through play. They determine the need for tutoring, initiate camp and wish applications. They also facilitate support groups for siblings (VIBS) and teens (Shooting Stars).
A Social Worker and Parent Consultant who are available to help you navigate through issues surrounding insurance, housing needs, travel, child care, parking and transportation. The Social Worker is available to help with many feelings and questions which arise at diagnosis, as well as throughout the course of your child's illness.
An administrative team dedicated to providing you with prompt access to physicians, nurses and other members of our team, while providing a variety of educational services.

Visiting support providers including a therapy dog (Albert). Pet therapy helps provide social and emotional support, has been known to lower blood pressure and ease anxiety. Our patients, families and staff love having therapy dog visitors.
We also have a Music Therapist who visits our patients often and works with them to help improve their mood and provide a space where patient can express their feelings.
