Hematology/Oncology

Rapid Second Opinion Service

When a child has received a diagnosis of cancer or a hematological disease or has a recurrence of a disease, parents often seek a second opinion.  Although there may be urgency for the child to begin treatment, often there is a short time for consideration of treatment plans that may include powerful medications and surgery.

To help your family make decisions about your child’s care, our Boston team is committed to providing an expert consultation within 24 hours of an appointment request (or on Monday for patients diagnosed over the weekend). We will work with you to gather medical record data and any other materials that we need after our initial contact.
