Cardiothoracic Surgery

We care for infants and children with congenital cardiac abnormalities.

 

Facilities include:

• Specialized operating room
• Pediatric intensive care unit
• State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for both cardiac catheterization and non-invasive testing

The surgical team pioneered and maintains an active interest in the early correction of complex cardiac anomalies in infancy, as well as the surgical care of the older child. Expertise is available for the evaluation and treatment of children with cardiac arrhythmias, as well as ongoing programs in the emerging areas of transplantation and circulatory support systems.

 

In addition to services at Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, the Division offers specialty outpatient services at several satellite locations.
