Anesthesiology

Each member of our division is a fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologist. We offer 24-hour coverage of anesthetic management for all procedures - from tonsillectomy to open heart surgery to emergency care for pediatric patients with acute surgical conditions. The Division is also closely involved in pain management for children in the intensive care units. 

 

We participate in all aspects of daily hospital life, and influence many other sub-specialty areas through our involvement in:

• Preoperative evaluation and risk management
• Postoperative anesthetic care and followup
• Resuscitation of patients with airway crises throughout the facility
• Sedation and anesthesia in non-operating room settings
• Interdisciplinary research
