Head and Neck Support Group

The ENT Department offers an educational support group for patients with Head and Neck Cancer. Family and friends are also welcome. The goal of this group is to assist patients and their families in achieving a better understanding of their diagnosis, treatment and recovery. In addition, we believe this helps patients cope during this difficult time. We have found that patients and their family members are the best resources for each other.

The group is organized and facilitated by Rachael McQuillan, Nurse Practitioner and Cynthia Bramble, Social Worker.

Currently, the group meets bimonthly but recent feedback from patients has shown an interest in increasing the frequency of meetings due to their perception as being very helpful. We will be having meetings more frequently starting in the Fall 2004.

Meetings are always held in the North Building of NEMC but the room varies monthly.
