Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program

We provide coordinated evaluation, consultation and treatment services for children and adolescents, as well as their families. Symptoms meriting referral may include:
- Food restriction
- Food aversion
- Abnormal weight loss
- Repetitive binging and purging behaviors
- Excessive activity patterns and psychosocial problems associated with eating impairment
A multidisciplinary treatment intervention for primary or secondary eating disorders is available, including mental health therapies, nutritional consultation and medical management.
Goals of treatment include:
- Improving eating behavior and body image
- Normalizing weight while maintaining medical stability
- Educating parents about healthier ways to manage emotional stress
- Increasing self-esteem and interpersonal relationships
