Center for Children with Special Needs

Our Philosophy of Care
The Center for Children with Special Needs (CCSN) prides itself on delivering interdisciplinary services that are child- and family-centered. The assessments that we conduct are comprehensive and evaluate the “whole child” with an appreciation of the child’s strengths and weaknesses and an understanding of the child’s role and functioning within his/her family, peer group, school and community.
The CCSN views parents as true partners in care; their input is actively sought and treatment/care planning is done in concert with families at all points along the way. The CCSN takes a strong advocacy approach in working with children and families, and seeks to assist families, schools and other professionals to design services that will maximize the child’s ability to function in all arenas.
