Fellow Support and Life at the Floating

Recognizing that working long hours in a new and intensely challenging environment can also pose challenges to balancing work and home life, a number of programs are in place at Floating Hospital to help ease the transition from student to pediatric specialist.
Fellowship Mentor
As fellowship begins, each fellow will choose a faculty member, often based upon future career interests, research interest and similar personalities. Throughout the years of training, fellows may meet with their mentor to receive constructive feedback on their progress and to discuss career planning, research and more.
Fellowship Meetings
Frequent meetings take place between the fellows and their program director. Meetings also take place between the fellows and the coordinator to discuss fellow’s ideas and thoughts about the program.
Social Life
At Floating, the intense chemistry established between all classes of residents, fellows, and attendings is clearly extended to our social lives. Residents and Fellows are encouraged to enjoy the great city of Boston and the abundant opportunities for outside activities throughout New England.
