Third Year Fellow
(Chief Fellow) |
Dimitrios Arkilo, MD
I’m currently a third year fellow, and will complete my Pediatric Neurology fellowship in 2012. I’m from originally from Greece, studied at Semmelweis University for medical school, and completed my residency in Pediatrics at the Children's Medical Center at Winthrop University Hospital. My wife is also a physician, and currently is training as a fellow in movement disorders and sleep medicine at another Boston program. My main interest is in children with neurological disorders and epilepsy. I’m involved with two research projects. One project is investigating electroencephalographic changes in children immediately after seizures. My other project is a quality improvement project looking at the efficacy and cost effectiveness of urgent referrals in pediatric neurology from general pediatricians. After my fellowship, I will pursue a second fellowship in pediatric epilepsy. My wife and I live in south Boston and enjoy what New England has to offer to us. In addition to travel, I play soccer weekly and try to spend time in one of the many beautiful restaurants in Boston with my wife. |

First Year Fellow |
Anthony Rodrigues, MD, PHD
I am originally from RI but have received the majority of my education in the Commonwealth. My undergraduate training was in Biology at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. In 2009 I graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine. Recently I completed 2 years of pediatric residency at the Floating Hospital for Children and chose to continue my training here in Child Neurology. Prior to his medical training I attained a doctorate in Neuroscience with a focus on clinical pain syndromes. I hope to continue my research in children with pain conditions. Outside of medicine I have many hobbies including sports, hiking, wood working, auto-restoration, and traveling. However, with a new baby boy and 4 dogs at home, my wife and I are very busy entertaining our pack. |
