The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine provides services to support children, youth, families, and communities through clinical care, teaching, research and advocacy so that children reach their full potential. We oversee the primary care outpatient services as well as manage and coordinate care for children when they have to be in the hospital.
Outpatient Care, Primary Care Clinics
Our expert pediatricians and adolescent medicine specialists care for children through four clinical programs:
General Pediatrics Practice (Primary Care)
Adolescent Health Services
Pediatric Asian Practice
Sydney S. Gellis Diagnostic Clinic
Center for Youth Wellness (Weight Management)
Opioid Dependence Treatment Program
Inpatient Care
In addition, our division leads the important Hospitalist Program at Floating Hospital for Children. This program includes expert pediatricians focused on children who are currently in the hospital. Our hospitalists manage and coordinate inpatient care for these ill children, including coordinating specialists' care and making sure that all the child and family's needs are met.

Educating the Next Generation of Pediatricians
Some of the Division’s educational activities include directing the Hospital’s pediatrics residency program, and overseeing the pediatrics curriculum for medical students at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Research Tomorrow’s Treatments and Cures
Our faculty is also actively engaged in research projects, which address biological, psychological, and social determinants of health. Areas of research focus in health disparities, obesity and cardiometabolic risk, care of chronically ill children, and using pediatric health care to improve outreach and support services to families in need.
