The Department of Dermatology provides comprehensive care to both adults and children in cutaneous medicine, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment and follow-up for skin disorders. Special areas of expertise include: cutaneous surgery, including Moh's surgery and excisions, contact dermatitis, infections of the skin; sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS, herpes and genital warts; ultraviolet light treatment for psoriasis and other light responsive disorders; laser treatments for vascular and other lesions; cosmetic surgery, hair transplantation and implants for defects with various filler substances such as collagen; pigmented lesions and recalcitrant warts; and aging skin.
The Department's Center for Cosmetic Skin Surgery is a highly specialized, state-of-the-art center focusing on skin care, with an emphasis on cosmetic surgery. An extensive array of services includes sclerotherapy, collagen and botox injections.
