Many wonderful giving opportunities exist at Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children for donors interested in making gifts of $25,000 or more. Donors may name various spaces of the medical center including lobbies waiting rooms, exam rooms and even buildings. Donors may also name a professorship, investigatorship, fellowship and research or clinical funds.
Donors are often interested in establishing a fund named in honor of or in memory of an individual or family. In other cases, donors will establish a fund in their own names as a demonstration of their commitment to our hospital. Named funds can be established as permanent endowments or as expendable accounts that will be replenished by future giving.
These funds can be for very specific purposes such as research, or education, or they can be for a more general cause such as helping families cope with their child's illness. The hospital's Development Office works closely with the donors to these funds to ensure that the spirit of their gifts is met. At the donor's request, the Development Office will prepare an annual report on the use of a named fund for funds contributed at a certain level.
