Nancy Shendell-Falik named Chief Nursing Officer |

Tufts Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy Shendell-Falik, RN, M.A., as Chief Nursing Officer and Sr. Vice President for Patient Care Services. Shendell-Falik will join Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children on June 29, 2009.
Shendell-Falik holds an M.A. degree in Nursing from New York University, a B.S. degree in Nursing from Rutgers College of Nursing and is a Fellow of the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Program. She has more than ten years experience as a Chief Nursing Officer, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. During her tenure, nurses at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey were named National Spectrum Awardees in four of the past six years.
Shendell-Falik is widely published and has authored several acclaimed works addressing quality outcomes and patient safety in high-risk environments. She is active nationally in professional organizations and served as advisor to the New Jersey Governor’s Advisory Council on Professional Nursing. Shendell-Falik was recently honored with the 2008 Executive Women of New Jersey’s “Salute to Policy Maker Award” and with the 2006 New Jersey Nurse Executive Award from the Organization of Nurse Executives. |
