Tufts Medical Center and its Floating Hospital for Children honored as Most Admired Health Care Institution in Boston
Tufts Medical Center has been named the “Most Admired Health Care Company/Institution in Boston” by Boston Business Journal (BBJ), as part of its 2nd annual acknowledgment of the city’s “Most Admired Companies, CEOs and Brands.” With 69 percent of the final tally, Tufts MC/Floating Hospital garnered one of the largest, most definitive margins of all nine BBJ “Most Admired” categories. |

Tufts Medical Center achieves Level I Trauma Center designation
Tufts Medical Center announced today the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has designated the hospital’s adult trauma service as a Level 1 trauma center. The designation comes after an extensive review by the American College of Surgeon’s Verification Review Committee, which examines the quality and capabilities of trauma centers across the country. |

Neumann tapped as first West Health Policy Center fellow
Peter Neumann, ScD, Director of the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health at the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy at Tufts Medical Center, has been selected to participate in the West Health Policy Center’s highly competitive fellowship program. An internationally renowned researcher on the use of cost-effectiveness analysis in health care decision making, Neumann was the first fellow named to the program. |
